Our staff have extensive experience in managing and delivering software project under challenging conditions in a variety of sectors, from finance through logistics and e-commerce to the government and charitable sectors. Through these experiences we have built up a wealth of practical knowledge in both development practices and tools.

Practices

Objectiv Consulting strongly believes in the benefits of incremental and iterative development practices, otherwise known as Agile, specifically in the application of SCRUM and our staff are all experienced in delivering projects using this approach (including accreditation as Certified SCRUM Masters).

• Agile Mentoring

  For whatever reason, many organisations decide to move towards a more 'Agile' approach to running their development operations. But what this actually means in practice can be quite a challenge. Objectiv Consulting have experience both in making this process work, it is the way we run our own projects, and also helping others to make the transition work for them and their sponsoring business.

Tools

Our commitment to practices such as automated testing and continuous integration means that we have extensive experience with the tools needed to achieve these. We can you help bring together tools, practices and methodologies that will enhance both productivity and quality and ensure that there is a strong alignment between strategy and IT activity.

• Open Source

  Collectively our staff have many years of experience applying Open Source products such as NUnit, Cruise Control, RhinoMocks to deliver real projects. These can be excellent and highly cost effective way to improve the quality and velocity of your projects, but there are also obstacles in selecting and integrating them successfully into a coherent development process. Objectiv Consulting can provide short or long term assistance in making these tools work for you.

• Visual Studio Team System

  Microsoft's entry into this space in the form of Team System is of note for its highly integrated set of tools for architecture, development, testing and project management. The breadth of this functionality can also make it hard to integrate into existing team behaviours and processes. Objectiv Consulting can provide Microsoft Certified Team Foundation Technology Specialists with specialist experience in installation, integration and tailored training on this platform to ensure you get the maximum returns possible from this tool.
